Today is eight months to the day we lost our beloved Doug Snodgrass, but that doesn’t stop this man from crawling out from under his rock to spew more empty rhetoric. Once again, swinging all he’s got in every direction, we bring you more of Jonathan Greenberg’s finest quotes. Read the entire story here andhere.

“Plus, I would add that students with autism or in special education that do not know the difference between right and wrong are beneficiaries of these sting operations.”
- Jonathan Greenberg, superintendent of the Perris Union High School District

The person Jonathan Greenberg seems to be making reference to is our son Jesse Snodgrass, an autistic child who was indeed entrapped in an undercover drug sting. This story has gained international attention in various media outlets sparking public outrage.

Jonathan Greenberg, you know nothing about our son. And, to justify these drug sting operations with the flimsy excuse of how kids shouldknow “right from wrong” is idiotic, yet, with your help, continues to proliferate among the ignorant. This statement is clearly defamatory to ALL autistic and special education students. Your remarks are not only unqualified, offensive and dangerous to the special needs community, but have opened you up to a large number of very unpleasant legal actions and hopefully removal from your position as one who works with these children in public schools.

Response from Stephen Downing, Deputy Chief, LAPD (ret):

This man is referring to the Jesse Snodgrass case in which the school district slipped out from under their failure to protect and instead allowed him – an autistic, special education child, to not only be taught at school how to buy drugs in order to keep a friend within his friendless existence but to be later perp walked out of his special Ed classroom by SWAT cops for leaving campus, finding a homeless man to sell him the stub of a joint for the $20 his “friend” gave him under the threat of losing that friendship. It is the most egregious case I have seen since Los Angeles outlawed school stings over a decade ago because they created more harm than good. Now we have this so-called educated elite saying its all ok, with no mention that those who work for him set the whole sting up right down to permitting the Sheriff to dig thru school records so they could first identify the most Vulnerable to their very nasty mission. They picked Jesse among others. But they also picked a kid with very courageous parents who saw through the callous harm the bean counters imposed upon the children this Scrotem was suppose to protect. They got the news out and they sued only to lose as this monster and his ilk hid behind presumed immunity.

I just hope his little screed here does not signal an end to the almost four years that this monstrous activity has been halted in our schools.

He should be in prison rather than sitting on a school board and spreading his poison at one of our leading universities. He is a monster and a danger to all of our children and grandchildren- his included.

Stephen Downing Deputy Chief, LAPD (ret)

Apparently, Jonathan Greenberg’s proudest accomplishment is authorizing the Perris School District Undercover Drug Sting in 2013 resulting in 25 arrests. He said he wouldn’€™t hesitate to have undercover officers in his schools again.

“We think the operation was an unqualified success”,€ adding,Some parents will excuse their children’s behavior all the way to state prison.” Greenberg said, according to a Press Enterprise article.

This article appeared on DailyKos — which describes this 2013 drug sting. Included in the arrest was a 15-year-old special education student who read at third grade level. The boy spent Christmas holidays behind bars and was charged with a felony after selling a single Vicodin pain pill for $3, which had been prescribed to him, to a Riverside County sheriff’s deputy who posed as a student all semester.

Greenberg said, “We hope for them that this is the worst day of their lives.”

You know what they say about glass houses. Surely and spiritually, Doug is with you right now...and I know he’s laughing. Yes, keep on stayin’ classy J.G.
